Sound & Shoal is an atmospheric combination of a visual novel and walking simulator, a rumination on the last summer shared by twin brothers as one slips deeper into mental illness.
The game weaves autobiographical vignettes alongside a magical realist fantasy of an alchemist's chance encounter with a discouraged street preacher, and their subsequent journey to the beach in an apocalyptic, liminal, stylized imagining of Los Angeles.
Sound & Shoal is currently under development.

the visual direction of this piece is stunning! i really love how the use of texture and composition make it feel like you're passing through a risoprint zine mixed with illuminated manuscript. can't wait to see where this work goes!
